Florida buyers often encounter two types of inspections: a 4-point and a full home inspection. Understanding the difference can save you thousands.
What to Know
A full home inspection covers every system and component of the home. A 4-point inspection focuses on only four areas — roof, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC — and is typically required by insurers for homes over 25 years old. If your lender requires a 4-point for insurance eligibility, that doesn’t replace the value of a full inspection.
